"Jason's ability to channel Jimi Hendrix is insane! Incredible feel and power." Stoned & Free is a Jimi Hendrix Tribute Band led by frontman, Jason Dodson on guitar and vocals. He started playing as early as he could pick up a guitar but didn’t get serious until the age of 10. His dad taught him some scales and Jason took off from there creating his own style and playing off of what he heard. He started out playing in his dad’s band, the Mudkings, Over the years, Jason’s interest in Jimi Hendrix blossomed and he incorporated Jimi’s playing style into his own. Jason’s passion and feel for the blues shows heavily in his playing. Jason is also the lead guitar player and singer in the Jason Dodson Band.

* Joined on stage by: Walt Dodson | Walt is not only the bass player in the band but is also Jason’s dad. Walt spent many of his early adulthood as lead guitarist and vocalist in a local band called The Mudkings. In 2013 Jason started sitting in with the band and by 2015 Walt decided to split with the band to focus more on a collaboration with Jason. In 2016 with Walt on bass and Jason playing lead guitar The JD Blues Experiment would play their first gig. A couple years later the band would be renamed The Jason Dodson Band. That band continues today along with Stoned and Free.

* & Eric Phillips | No one knows too much about Eric. He just shows up and plays the drums.
