Can you really look at Bernini`s St Teresa, Rodin`s Thinker, or Brâncuși`s Kiss and not want to have skill enough to do something similar? Ideally, to become Pygmalion himself and sculpt your very own Galatea? Have you ever considered the Taj Mahal, the Dilwara Temples, the Parthenon, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, why even Mount Rushmore and the Great Sphinx of Giza, and not wondered at the craft of the stone sculptor? If you have ever wanted to learn how to sculpt stone for yourself, here`s your chance! Join us at Red House to learn this age-old and time-honoured craft! These stone sculpting classes will operate under the guidance of nationally and internationally exhibited sculptor Ravi Kumar. Note: 1. The classes are beginner friendly. 2. Each workshop pass gives you access to 4 stone sculpture classes: happening on 9th, 10th, 17th, and 24th of November, (of 3 hours each). The dates for this cannot be changed. 3. All materials including tools and stones will be provided by us. 4. In this month, students will be learning how to carve and chisel objects of their own imagination from blocks of Plaster of Paris. 5. Only the registered individual can work on their assigned stone block. Friends or guardians accompanying the participant are not permitted to work on the same stone, ensuring that each person enrolled has an independent and uninterrupted experience.
