Stokes Streamside Social & Hike

DIRECTIONS FROM ROUTE 206: Turn into the main Stokes State Forest entrance. Drive past the building and toll booth onto Coursen Rd. and continue straight for 2.4 miles. At the T-intersection, turn left and park in the Kittle Field parking area. Meet at the pavilion picnic area across the road.

For teens & adults. Bring a camp chair, your portable breakfast of choice, and a cuppa Joe or tea and join us in Stokes State Forest for a relaxing start to the day. After a bit of birding, bugging, and botanizing, we'll embark on a 2-mile round-trip hike to burn some calories.

In registering for this program, you agree to follow the CDC guidelines regarding visiting parks, which are: 1) Not attending if you are sick, have tested positive for COVID 19 and haven’t recovered, or have been recently exposed to COVID-19; 2) Staying at least 6’ away from people not in my own family group, and 3) washing (with soap and water) or sanitizing hands before and after the program.
