It's time to step to the beat and shine in aerial choreography! Join Stacey to build your favourite poses into flows, experience the thrill of using the hammock to dance to your favourite beats. In this class well known and new poses will be woven together to build sequences to the music, giving an uplifting, confidence building session. There will be the oppertunity to work on your own as well as within a group in parts of the class.This class is ideal for giving the skills and experience needed to start building your own routines or to prepare for competitions or the Anvesaka spring and autumn showcase events.
Aerial choreo is fun, sociable and boosts fitness in an enjoyable way. Choreo adds a cardio element to your favourite aerial routines, giving you more strength and endurance for your performances and to more quickly master new poses.
This class is not suitable for complete aerial beginners.
For examples of Stacey's choreo flows see and however all flows will be built around the ability and comfort of those in the group.
Suitable for anyone who has undertaken at least a term or two (should be familiar with moves such as square stand, circus seat etc) in aerial yoga, or is a confident aerialist in another discipline.
This is a dynamic physical class, please get in touch if you have a health condition that could limit their participation, or consider our aerial yoga classes which are less strenuous as a starting point for entry to aerial arts. If you are reasonably fit and healthy (able to climb stairs, do a sit up, lift a heavy box, walk unaided then this class should suit most people but you will work hard!). This class is not suitable to begin if you have active current vertigo, herniated or bulging spinal disks, arthritis which significantly limits your grip. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive studio and welcome students beyond these safety limitations regardless of body type, fitness levels, physical limitations or disabilities or other restrictions. A free carers place is available for anyone who requires assistance to access our classes and is in receipt of middle or higher rate DLA or PIP.
