Stockton Police Department - PAT/PELLETB test

**Please note in order to take the PELLETB written exam, you must first take the PAT. All participants must apply online.

Minimum qualifications:

• 1. 21 year of age or older (20 at the time of application)
• 2. Have a CA drivers license (or can obtain one)
• 3. Have a high school diploma or GED
• 4. No felony convictions

We are pleased to announce that the Stockton Police Department will be conducting the Physical Abilities Test (PAT) and the California POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB) Written Exam at San Joaquin Delta College, located in Stockton.

Physical Abilities Test (PAT)

The PAT is designed to assess physical fitness and includes the following components:

• 30 Air Squats (to be completed within 2 minutes)
• 15 Pushups (to be completed within 1 minute and 30 seconds)
• Plank Exercise (to be held for 1 minute)
• 500-Yard Run (to be completed within 2 minutes and 45 seconds)

PELLETB Written Exam

The PELLETB is a comprehensive examination consisting of multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions aimed at evaluating reading and writing proficiency. Applicants will have 2 ½ hours to complete this examination.

Please be aware that while the PELLETB may be taken multiple times, California POST regulations stipulate that test takers cannot retake the test within a 30-day period. Any attempt to retake the PELLETB within this timeframe will result in the invalidation of previously obtained test results.

In accordance with California POST security protocols, all candidates are required to present a government-issued photo ID on the day of the exam.
