STMC - April Event - Patrick Poff

Welcome to the STMC - April 2025 Event happening at St. Tims on 4/7/25 beginning at 6:00 PM. Join us for an evening filled with conversation, food, and inspiring speakers. This complimentary in-person event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow catholic men in and around the parish!

In a fitting presentation during Lent, Pat will provide us with history and other information about the Shroud of Turin (which is a burial cloth that has been venerated as the shroud of Jesus Christ after death on the cross). The Shroud, which was first unveiled in the 1350’s and displays a faint image of a man, has mystified scholars and believers alike for centuries and has been the subject of intense debate regarding its origin and authenticity. As a former federal prosecutor and trial defense counsel for the JAG Corps, Pat is eminently qualified to “prosecute” the evidence relative to the validity of the Shroud of Turin.

Patrick Poff will speak to us on April 7. Pat, who is the youngest son of Walt and Cecile Poff, is a Florida Board Certified Construction Lawyer (and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator), who practices complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction claims, construction defects, product defects, lien and bond claims and insurance coverage matters. Pat was graduated from the University of South Florida in 1992 and received his law degree from Mercer Law School in 1995. Pat has been with Trenam Law (“Trenam”) since 2000 and became a shareholder in 2005. Prior to joining Trenam, Pat served as both a federal prosecutor (Special Assistant United States Attorney) and a Trial Defense Counsel for the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s (“JAG”) Corps. Pat was honorably discharged from military service at the rank of Major.

He is married to Nicole, and they have five children.
