Join us on February 16 at ArtRage Gallery 504 Hawley Ave., Syracuse from 1 to 4 pm for a hands-on introduction to the Palestinian artform of Tatreez embroidery.Learn how Tatreez ties Palestinian people to their history, culture and place. Sip tea as you see and explore an extensive collection of vintage thobes, including intifada thobes, where resistance was woven into the designs.
This workshop will provide a unique opportunity to see rare pieces from the collection of @tatreezishark (Instagram) while also having a chance to create your own designs with the guidance of experienced instructors. All proceeds from this event will go to support Palestinian cultural preservation.
