Join us for a creative stitching adventure! This flexible workshop series allows you to choose the type and form of your project while learning traditional and contemporary hand-stitching techniques.
Participants may register for a single workshop or purchase a punch card to explore multiple projects over time at their own pace.
Available Workshops:
One-Session Workshops:
Slow Stitch Embroidery Broach or Magnet
Create a unique piece of wearable or display art using fabric scraps, embroidery, and embellishments.
Slow Stitched Needle Case
Create a beautiful and functional needle case using slow stitching techniques.
Sashiko Pin Cushion
Learn the basics of Sashiko stitching while creating a practical pin cushion.
Two-Session Projects
Slow Stitched Fabric Container
Create a functional soft-sided fabric container while exploring the relaxing process of slow stitching.
Sewing Kit or Multi-Purpose Stitched Case
Design and create a versatile stitched case that can be customized to fit your needs.
Ongoing Project Workshop
Boro & Sashiko Stitching: Visible Mending & Embroidery Enhancement
Give your favorite garments new life through the art of visible mending. Learn traditional Boro and Sashiko-inspired techniques to repair, reinforce, and embellish clothing with decorative stitching and patches.
Please bring: One personal clothing item to mend or embellish.
Materials included: Sashiko templates, patch fabric, needles and thread

When: Every Wednesday and the last Sunday of each month
Times:
Wednesdays: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Last Sunday of each month: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Registration Options
$12 – One-session workshop
$20 – Two-session workshop
$50 – Five-session punch card
$90 – Ten-session punch card
If your project is not finished during a one or two session workshop, you are welcome to return to a future one or two future sessions to continue working on your project. Punch cards can be used for One and Two session workshops. Punch card holders may start new projects as they use their remaining punches.
What to Bring:
Visible Mending Workshop Only:
Please bring one piece of clothing or cloth item such as a canvas tote that you would like to mend, patch, repair, or embellish.
All Other Workshops:
Just bring yourself! All materials and instruction are included.
Materials may include:
Fabric scraps
Sashiko thread and templates
Embroidery floss
Beads, buttons, lace, and other embellishments
Scissors
Sewing needles
