My favourite way to share my love for crochet is by passing on my skills to others - you keep asking so now I have a created a wearables course just for you!
There are literally hundreds of beautiful crochet designs available for you to make, but for a confident beginner / intermediate crocheter they can still be scary!
This is because most crochet patterns are written using abbreviations of crochet terms, which save space and make patterns easier to read and some YouTube videos just tie your brain in knots... when you don’t know the terms or the abbreviations or the symbols or even how to read a crochet chart it’s just frustrating jibberish.
So... we will master some of these in this course, with this pattern, until they become familiar. Real hands on teaching, no confusion, no overwhelm. Practicing new and different crochet stitches and techniques, building on your skills, and making something stunning in the process.
🧶COURSE OVERVIEW
Over 4x fabulous, 2.5hr workshops on alternate weeks (10hrs in total) you will be guided through the crochet pattern to make this beautiful Cotton Lattice Tunic. Creatively constructed from 2x simple rectangles, this flattering wearable is made with cotton yarn and comes together pretty easily with no shaping required or any increases or decreases.
👏SKILL LEVEL (EASY/INTERMEDIATE)
Beyond beginners basically - You will need to be comfortable crocheting even if its just a few stitches ie. single or double crochet stitch.
This course is intended for those who have learnt the basics of crochet and are now looking to increase their crochet confidence starting with the basics and progressing onto intermediate stitches and combinations.
It is a great way to get used to working from both a written pattern and chart.
Whether you're a confident beginner or a seasoned crocheter, once you have the pattern repeat nailed, you’ll work relatively quickly through this pattern and really enjoy the process of seeing your new wearable take shape right before your eyes!
🤷‍♀️WHAT’S INCLUDED
This is an eight week long course with four in-person sessions, scheduled at the same time every other week, providing time between sessions to practise and apply your learning to finish the section of the tunic we are working on that week.
*10hrs in person tuition
*Handouts for each class and a digital pattern to continue after the workshop sent via email
*Private WhatsApp Group with videos
*All materials, crochet hook and yarn.
NB - The course price includes enough yarn to create a size S tunic with a supplemental increase in line with the quantity of yarn required to make a Medium/Large/X Large.
(Please let me know at time of booking what size tunic you wish to make so I can order the correct amount of yarn and advise you of the supplement for the start of this workshop.)
As always... Unlimited pots of tea and coffee and a BIG slice of Nicky’s delicious homemade cake at each workshop to fuel your learning!
