A group for introverts and extroverts! Each meeting, we listen to a short audiobook while we work on our individual craft projects, with time to chat at the end of the story.This month we're listening to the first few chapters of our selection for One Book, One Buncombe: Happy Land by Dolen Perkins-Valdez.
One Book, One Buncombe is a county wide initiative to create a shared reading experience. Happy Land takes place here in Western North Carolina, in a real historical place known as The Kingdom of the Happy Land - a community of free Black people post-Civil War.
If you'd like a taste of the book prior to waiting on the holds list or buying a copy for yourself, you're welcome to attend!
