STIR Gatherings provide a space for artists to network creatively with each other and with local art professionals, giving them the opportunity to learn about local organizations and how they can get involved.
These events also connect artists with the Norfolk arts district (The NEON District) by introducing them to the businesses that are located within it.
All event registrants will receive one drink ticket (21 & up) and will be able to purchase additional alcoholic drinks if desired.
This STIR Gathering will take place in Hurrah TVFA (Nusbaum Family TV & Film Academy). Launched in early 2025, this academy extends The Hurrah Player's traditional stage-acting education to the screen. This addition is a HUGE asset to The NEON Dirstrict!
The Nusbaum TV and Film Academy is the newest addition to the longtime Norfolk resident family theater company, The Hurrah Players. Located on the 3rd floor of their beautiful new academy building in Norfolk's Neon District, it offers young creators ages 12–19 hands-on training in filmmaking, animation, photography, and digital media.The TVFA offers nighttime classes to interested students from all over Hampton Roads and also partners with local schools and universities to offer daytime instruction. The state of the art facilities feature a 35x40’ professional studio with overhead lighting, 2 pedestal cameras,stands, lights, grip equipment, a wide camera, and a control room consisting of a sound board, camera control board, wireless microphones, and lighting control. To support the local creative economy, the TVFA also makes these state-of-the-art facilities available for professional and commercial rental.

We recommend parking along W. Wilson, Olney and the furniture store lot directly across the street from our lobby entrance on W. Olney Road. Do not park in the adjacent lot with the star marked spaces.
