Space is limited; registration is required. Learn more about “Stillwater Reads” and sign up at stillwaterok.gov/STWReads. Patrick Daglaris, Associate Professor and Oral History Archivist for the Oral History Research Program at OSU's Library, will teach attendees how to get started on their oral history projects. The library will also begin loaning oral history kits in September.
This event is a part of “Stillwater Reads,” the Stillwater Public Library’s eleventh community-wide reading series taking place during September 2025. The featured books include “Listen” by Oklahoma Book Award winner Sheldon Russell, for adults, and “Nowhere Better Than Here” by Sarah Guillory, for youth (recommended for grades 4-7). Readers interested in participating can pick up a free copy of the books starting August 18 (while supplies last). Adults must sign up to attend a book discussion to get a free copy of “Listen.”
“Stillwater Reads” is funded by the Friends of the Stillwater Public Library. Books are provided courtesy of the Amazon Think Big program. Additional support is provided by the Oklahoma State University Library, the Oklahoma Historical Society, Block 34, Meridian Technology Center, and Stillwater Public Schools.
