This drawing exercise will cover different approaches and drawing techniques to translate 3D forms onto paper. Referencing a still life set in the 1990s, participants will use graphite sticks and pencils to create three unique drawings and build dynamic compositions using value, form, and line. All skill levels are welcome, and a variety of drawing materials will be provided.
ABOUT MADISON SVENDGARD
Madison’s work explores the ways that we romanticize the mundanities in our lives to make them more enjoyable, finding both sadness and humor in this romanticization. Her works on paper utilize flatness, color palette, and stylization to remove the work from reality and give it a surreal tone.
We’ll be hosting the event in the museum’s restaurant, Eleven, so feel free to take advantage of our weeknight Bar and Bites specials: $3 beer, $4 house wine, $1 soda and iced tea). Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights, 4 to 6:30 pm. Program attendees enjoy discounts until 9 pm!
