Still Life Drawing Class

Participants are encouraged to bring a small personal item from home - something sentimental, nostalgic, strange, comforting, or simply visually interesting - to use as inspiration for their drawing. A curated collection of vintage and shared objects will also be available for anyone who would like additional inspiration.

In this class, we'll explore the foundations of observational drawing through still life studies, learning techniques for proportion, shading, composition, texture, and value while creating artwork rooted in personal connection and storytelling. Through guided exercises and individual instruction, the class will focus on slowing down, looking closely, and translating everyday objects onto paper with attention and intention.

This class is designed for all skill levels, including complete beginners. No prior drawing experience is necessary

💛 This class is offered on a sliding scale of $10/$15/$20. Please contribute what feels right within that range. If that range isn’t accessible for you right now, please reach out - we always hold a couple of scholarships for those who need it.
