Still Here: Building Resilience in an Unpredictable World
A Transformational Workshop with Lisa Lampanelli
*ONLY 15 SPOTS AVAILABLE*
“Still Here: Building Resilience in an Unrpredictable World” is a workshop developed by former comedian and current creativity coach Lisa Lampanelli. Life is an endless series of “both/and”s: both fulfilling and disappointing; both joyful and frustrating; both inspiring and uncertain—sometimes all within the same hour!
How do we keep going when things don’t go our way? How do we weather rejection, disappointment, uncertainty, comparison, and the inevitable ups and downs without losing our connection to ourselves, others, and the work we love?
Through storytelling, sharing, meditation, journaling, brainstorming, deep listening, and self-reflection, this workshop will explore what it means to build real resilience: not by toughening up or pretending things don’t hurt, but by learning how to meet setbacks, uncertainty, and change with greater self-trust, flexibility, courage, and humor.
Participants will leave with practical tools for staying grounded, recovering from disappointment, and continuing to move forward in this wild, weird, wonderful life.
Bio:
With a career that spanned more than 30 years, Lisa Lampanelli was a constant on the comedy scene. With numerous tours, 2 Grammy nominations, sold-out appearances at Radio City Music Hall and Carnegie Hall under her belt, Lisa announced her retirement from stand-up comedy on the Howard Stern radio program in late 2018 and is now dedicating her life to coaching creative types, teaching standup and storytelling, and being a general overall bad-ass. She has been featured on the Moth Mainstage tour and podcast, and the Risk! storytelling show and podcast, and her solo shows, "Lisa Lampanelli: Big Fat Failure" and "Lisa Lampanelli: Irrelevant!" have helped her and audiences deal with issues she has wrestled with over her years since retirement.
Her play, STUFFED, enjoyed two off-Broadway runs in 2016 and 2017, and her appearances on the Comedy Central Roasts and the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” are career highlights. Lisa also raised $130,000 for the Gay Men’s Health Crisis during season 5 of NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice," won $50,000 for the organization last year on Fox's "Celebrity Weakest Link," and is the 2024 Global Ambassador for the North Shore Animal League of America. She teaches standup and storytelling at the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts in Connecticut and is an Integral Coach with a concentration in Creativity Coaching.
