The Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance Artist-in-Residence program at CATALYST in the Tucson Mall provides flexible space for artists to create and demonstrate in an open studio environment with opportunities to engage the community through collaboration, workshops, and talks. The Artist-in-Residence will also serve as Catalyst ambassador, educating the public about SAACA and CATALYST Arts & Maker Space.—--

I am throwing a big unique event every single weekend focused on cartooning, comic art, and performing arts.
June 10th 12-3pm
SKETCH BOOKS AND SKECTH COMEDY
Activities include:
- Star as an extra in a Sketch Comedy video we are filming that day with Keep Tucson Sketchy
- STICKER SWAP- Bring stickers to trade and decorate Sketchbooks
- Sketch and drawing lessons
- Sketch and Smash original sketches into one inch buttons
- Read from The Comic Bookmobile’s
Comic Collection
I kicked things off by driving The Comic Bookmobile right inside the Tucson Mall and making it the new window display of Catalyst’s Creative Collective. I’m going to transform Buster, The Comic Bookmobile by drawing all over the bus and so it becomes a moving mural of comic style line art.
