About this Event
Join the the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory and The Marine Mammal Center for a hands-on exploration of the Bay’s wetlands and learn about the incredible biodiversity of this ecosystem. During this event, we’ll conduct a Bioblitz and nature journaling to discover hidden wildlife, learn about the vital connection between marine mammals and healthy wetlands, and take part in a conservation project by supporting local bird populations through chick shelter maintenance. By the end of the event, we hope you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the species that thrive in these habitats, understand the role we all play in protecting them, and will have some goals for the next steps you can take on your conservation journey.
We can sign for Community Service hours if you need us to!
Free lunch and snacks will be provided
