About this Event

is a pop/ adult contemporary singer songwriter from southern Ontario. His honest lyrical style and emotionally charged vocal performance has garnered him many accolades locally and abroad. His debut album Take My Hand, produced by JUNO-winning producer Da Brodbeck (Dolores O'Riordan, Landon Pigg) was released in 2014. Since then, Steven has had viral success on YouTube with over 1.5 million views and a quarter of a million streams across digital streaming platforms with TV appearances on CHCH and Breakfast Television. Steven has shared stages with Canadian icons such as The Trews, Marianas Trench, and David Usher; and is quickly making a name for himself in the music industry being invited to participate in multiple industry songwriting camps put on by both the Songwriters Association of Canada and CYMBA Publishing resulting in noteworthy co-writes and collaborations with Liz Rodrigues (Eminem, Celine Dion, Pink), Rob Wells (Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez) and Emma-Lee Doty (Tim Hicks, Mickey Guyton, Brett Kissel), and Vince Degiorgio (NSYNC, President of CYMBA Music Publishing). Additionally Steven has been commissioned to write songs for Flipp, Desjardins and NY Times top ten author Dr. Tom Deans. Steven’s 2021 album Light Of Day was self-produced and landed singles on editorial playlists including New Music Friday and Renegade Folk on spotify as well as YouTube Music’s Pop playlist. The album was number 5 on iTunes' Canada singer-songwriter chart. The album continues to see growth with thousands of videos using music from the album on social media platforms including Tik Tok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. And has amassed over half a million streams on major streaming services. Steven also produced, engineered, mixed and played on Craig Cardiff’s 2021 album All This Time Running. Worked on multiple tracks for John Muirhead, Katherine Fischer, Chandler Berardi and more. Co-wrote Reeny Smith’s 2018 single “Survive”. He is currently working on his third studio album and in the studio working with many independent Canadian artists.

A former construction worker in Hamilton, Ontario, Brian Melo shot to superstardom by winning the reality television show Canadian Idol in September 2007. Considered an underdog by those viewing the show, Melo chose from a wide variety of artists and songs to keep his momentum going, including Radiohead's "Karma Police" and Robbie WIlliams' "Angels." His first single, "All I Ever Wanted," was released two days after winning Canadian Idol, and his first album, Livin' It, hit stores in November 2007.
