Tananas, one of his notable bands, has captivated audiences worldwide with their mesmerizing performances at concerts and festivals across the globe. Joining Steve on stage is the incredibly talented Nish Pillay, a nomadic percussionist who brings a fusion of genres to life through his mesmerizing tabla performances. Nish’s love for playing multiple genres of music shines through in his performances. His expertise in tabla and other drums adds depth and rhythm to every composition he collaborates on. Nish has collaborated with South African legends like Ard Matthews (Just Jinjer) and Arno Carstens (Springbok Nude Girls) to name a few. He was trained in South Africa in in younger years, and then in Bangalore, India by a tabla master and has played music in India, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Rwanda and has extentsively toured the nookes and crannies of South Africa.
