We have a new date and time: Nov. 2, 2024, 1-4 PM!Prince among men and virtuoso pianist Steve Arntson will play a benefit concert for the Steckel Legal Fund to raise money for legal fees for fellow poet and friend Jan Steckel to protect her elderly mother's care. Hear Mozart, Chopin, Schubert and Good triumph over Evil.

Steve's Musical Bio:
"Thanks to my mom I heard a lot of music when I was a kid growing up in Massachussetts - parents got me a piano - couldn't stay away from it - the family moved to Seattle when I was 7 - there were lessons but I wanted to play the piano my way - was able to study music at the University of Washington for a time when I met a wonderful teacher from Switzerland - you always felt at home in her studio - at various times I played with orchestras and gave concerts but I was not very ambitious and I wanted to be out and around with wanderlust - I taught some but decided not to make teaching a career as I am not very patient - at Sonoma State College (now University) I played for ballet classes and rehearsed the choir - since roughly 2000 I've concentrated on writing, a second love - I look forward to this benefit concert for Jan Steckel!"
