Stepping Stones Storytime

Free bi-weekly literacy, art, movement, and mindful play program for young children and families at Community Stepping Stones.

Join Mr. Stevey & Friends and Community Stepping Stones for a free, hands-on early literacy program designed for young children and families.

Each session blends storytelling with creative art, mindful movement, sensory activities, and playful learning experiences that help children build reading comprehension, confidence, focus, imagination, and social-emotional skills.

Families can expect:

• Interactive storytime and guided reading
• Painting, drawing, and mixed-media art activities
• Mindful breathing, calming movement, and sensory play
• Fun group activities that encourage creativity and connection
• A welcoming, family-friendly environment led by experienced teaching artists

Kickoff: Monday, September 21, 2026

Time: 11:30 AM–1:00 PM

Location: Community Stepping Stones, 1101 E. River Cove St., Tampa, FL

Schedule: 1st and 3rd Monday of each month

Cost: Free for all families

Walk-ins welcome. RSVP Recommended.
