Stephens County Fair Concert and Rodeo

This is all just so cool. Last year I decided I wanted to get involved with our county fair. I believe we have an opportunity to do something great here. With the facilities and the staff at the fairgrounds, as well as the fair board and county commissioners we have voted in. We have everything we need to host a really great event. Since the beginning of my involvement, I have been welcomed. The fair board as well as my employer have allowed me to share ideas and make suggestions. I encourage each of us that want to see Stephens County flourish to get involved with something they enjoy. This concert was my idea, and the fair board was gracious enough to indulge me. Bringing back the rodeo to the fair will be a fun and exciting night. All this could grow into something truly spectacular for our area, but we need you to participate. The Duncan Banner just put out a fantastic magazine that tells how to get involved and place entries into the fair. We are looking for rodeo queen candidates as well as vendors and entries into the fair. For the concert we will welcome David Halliburton with special guest Jackson Glasby Music. I am so excited about this event. Come out to the Fairgrounds. Support our local FFA and 4H programs. Have a slice of homemade pie and help us grow this into one of the most exciting events is southern Oklahoma. We might even through in some midget wrestling.
