About this Event

Join food writer, sommelier, and TV personality Stephen Satterfield and Bravo's Top Chef "cheftestant" Michelle Wallace as they craft a unique, multi-course menu for our first of three Gantt Golden Year farm-to-table culinary experiences.

The evening’s menu is inspired by the exhibition and a celebration of Women's History Month, with many ingredients sourced from Black Carolina farmers. The experience begins at 6:00 pm with an hour-long cocktail reception leading up to the chef-led dinner.

Satterfield is the Gantt Golden Year Culinary Scholar-in-Residence and hosts the award-winning Netflix docuseries .

This event is for adults, ages 21 and older.

About Stephen Satterfield

Since 2007, Stephen Satterfield has devoted his career to redefining food and beverage as a means to organize, activate, and educate. He saw the need for more inclusive storytelling and a media company dedicated to food origins and culture from around the world. This led to the creation of Whetstone Media.

Before his career in media, Stephen Satterfield was a sommelier and social entrepreneur promoting wine as a catalyst for socioeconomic development for Black wine workers in South Africa. He is "one of the country's most respected food journalists" (Eater), and host of the critically acclaimed Netflix docuseries, High on the Hog. The docuseries is now in its highly anticipated second season.
