Step Out, Breathe In: Turning Tides
About this Event
Step Out, Breathe In: Turning Tides
After the longest day of the year (夏至), the tide turns. The light softens. The season shifts — and somewhere within, so do we. Step Out, Breathe In: Turning Tides is an invitation to mark this seasonal turning point with a full day of somatic nourishment at the stunning Lamma East.
Strictly capped at 20 participants.
Who Is This For?
- You're a professional ready to step out of autopilot and into the present moment.
- You're a parent, caregiver, or holder of others' needs, longing for a day of grounded renewal that truly replenishes you.
- You're curious about breathwork, somatic practices, or Chinese wellness traditions — and want a gentle, science-backed entry point.
- You've joined a SOBI retreat before, and feel ready to return to the circle and go deeper.
This is a trauma-informed, inclusive container. All bodies, identities, genders, and nervous systems are welcome. You are never required to share, perform, or push beyond your edge. Participation is always by invitation — to yourself.
What You'll Leave With
More than a day away, this is a somatic reset. You'll depart with:
- A regulated, resourced nervous system — feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected to your body's wisdom.
- Simple, portable tools: breath patterns and micro-practices you can weave into daily life without adding to your to-do list.
- A renewed sense of direction — a quieter, firmer feeling of agency as the tide turns in your own life.
- The felt sense of being held: the quiet confidence that comes from spending a day in a space designed for your safety, your pace, and your truth.
- A zongzi (粽子) made by you!
