Join us in this exciting event titled “STEM-UP: Enhancing Women’s Data Science Education” brought to you by SheSTEM and 10 Minutes School, a collaborative effort championing women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, is hosting an impactful event. This program, a collaborative effort by 10 Minutes School (10MS), a2i (Aspire to Innovate), ICT Division, Devlearn, LightCastle Partners, and Policy Exchange Bangladesh, aims to bridge the gender gap in STEM education and careers in Bangladesh. IEEE NSU SB WIE AG proudly joins as an academic partner in this significant initiative. This interactive session, scheduled for July 10th, 2024 at 3:30 pm , aims to bridge the gender gap in STEM education and careers. Supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the event specifically targets female students interested in pursuing STEM paths.This session promises to be an inspiring and interactive experience. Organizers encourage female students to actively participate by sharing their firsthand experiences and challenges faced within STEM education. This valuable feedback will play a crucial role in shaping the future of STEM education for women in Bangladesh. Students will have the opportunity to propose improvements to current course offerings and suggest the specific skills they believe are most necessary to succeed in tech jobs. Areas of discussion will encompass in-demand coding languages like Python and JavaScript, design skills such as web design and AutoCAD, and even hardware development using PCB technology.
By actively participating in this event, female students have the potential to directly influence the creation of new and improved STEM education programs. The feedback gathered will be used to develop courses that specifically address the needs and challenges faced by women in these fields. This tailored approach aims to empower female students with the necessary knowledge and skills to not only compete equally with their male counterparts but also thrive in their chosen STEM careers.
SheSTEM program goes beyond academics by fostering a collaborative environment for students to connect and share their experiences. This session provides a valuable platform for female students to network and build a supportive network within the STEM community.
