About this Event
Is your child ready to lead in the age of STEM? Understanding STEM is no longer just an academic goal for colleges, it's the key to navigating the future and their career.
BSA Troop 113 (Brentan Rath), in partnership with Commonwealth Acadmey, is proud to host an immersive STEM Fair on January 31st (12 PM – 4 PM). This special event, organized as Brentan Rath’s Eagle Scout Service Project, offers students ages 10-14 a hands-on introduction to the world’s most important fields.
The STEM Experience: Your child will participate in four high-energy workshops covering Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It’s a day designed to spark curiosity and build real-world confidence. Everything from roller coaster and bridge building, circuitry to scientifically created art!
Dropoff Flexibility: We know you are busy, or just want to kick back and relax over the weekend. That is why for this event you will have the opportunity to drop your child off at this event, and pick them up after or before. Important to note, identification is required for pickup/dropoff. But if you wish to stay with your child that is perfectly fine, we want to keep the options open to you.
Gear Up for STEM: We want to ensure our participants have the tools they need to keep learning long after the fair ends. All attendees will be sent home with digital resources for continuing their learning in STEM. Physical copies will be provided as well as emailed to the parent/guardians. Questions can be asked through email or on–site by our staff.Door Prize: To help empower our attendees in their STEM journeys, at our event there will be a door prize with multiple rewards to win! Per each attendee, they will be granted one ticket for the door prize upon signing in at the event for free. The winners will be announced at the end!
These are the possible prizes your child could win:
- Multiple STEM Focused Laptops to power your student's future STEM projects, donated from the American Red Cross (details on hardware specs explained in followup emails after registration)
- HP Printers, as well as setup instructions and starter ink!
- Computer Workstation full–desk Mouse Pads from Razer!
- Raspberry Pi’: mini digital computers tailored for circuitry, programming and electronics adventures and projects!
- And more to be announced in the days leading up to the event, check the website for a completed list!
Don’t Wait! Space is Limited! Due to venue capacity and the high value of this year's prizes, we expect registration to fill up quickly. Registration is required for event attendance! Give your child the tools and the knowledge they need to excel.
