Hailing from Portland Oregon, the members of Steel Fringe have a long musical history from previously playing together in various bands throughout the years. With always sharing their love of California cosmic country and the Grateful Dead, the Steel Fringe band was ultimately established in 2021. After several years of writing and recording, coming out of the pandemic, the debut Steel Fringe Ep came out of the summer of 2024 via Curation Records. With a follow up full length album coming out sometime next year, Steel Fringe continues to write, record and perform the music that brought them together. Steel Fringe is Tyler Johnston (guitar, vox), Nathan Murphy (bass, vox), Parker Hall (drums), Mitch Gonzales (guitar, vox) and Erik Clampitt (pedal steel). They are joined by Golden Promise and Woodlawn Ramblers.
