About this Event

Pittsburgh's Most Inclusive AI Community

Every month, we bring together the full spectrum of AI builders, from first-time prompt writers to enterprise architects. This isn't just another tech meetup. It's where diverse experience levels come together, share real solutions, and tackle practical challenges collaboratively.

Our mission: Bridge the gap between AI experts and everyday users through hands-on learning and genuine community.

What Makes Us Different

We focus on implementation, not inspiration.

  • Real business problems, not hypothetical scenarios
  • Working solutions, not theoretical possibilities

Upcoming Meeting Notes:
The Last Mile of AI: Human Process, Machine Execution, Real-World Results

The hardest part of AI usually isn't the model. It's the human and organizational layer around it — unclear processes, messy data, undefined outcomes, weak handoffs, and uncertainty about what should happen after AI produces an answer.

This month, Craig Turner CEO of Momentum AI, shares what he's seeing in real AI implementation work with businesses, chambers, associations, and small teams. The session is built around three ideas:

1. Clarify the human process first. Before AI, organizations need to know what they're trying to accomplish, who's involved, what information matters, and what a good result actually looks like.

2. The AI interaction is often the easy part. Once the process is clear, prompting, coding, automation, RAG, and internal tools become far more straightforward.

3. Real value lives in real-world results. Better analysis, faster follow-up, smarter automation, reclaimed time, stronger relationships, more consistent action.

You'll leave with a practical framework for thinking beyond AI demos and toward AI systems that actually work inside organizations.

AI in Plain English: Real-World AI Fundamentals and Applications Without the Hype

AI is everywhere — and so is the hype. This month, Bjorn Austraat cuts through it with a practical, no-nonsense session that grounds you in how modern AI actually works, then puts it to use live.

1. AI Primer (20 minutes)
A concise, practical grounding in modern AI systems: AI, machine learning, neural networks, tokens, and vectorization in plain English — plus the core operating principles, strengths, and limitations of large language models.

2. Live Tool Creation & AI Application
We'll build practical, immediately applicable tools using Custom GPTs and NotebookLM to work through real-world use cases, including:

  • Communication acceleration with multi-modal input (e.g., via phone camera)
  • Scalable marketing and stakeholder communication
  • Data transformation (text to video/audio, text to infographic, YouTube to report, and more)

3. Q&A

You'll leave understanding what AI really is, what it can and can't do, and how to build tools you can use right away.
