About this Event
Join us, in our last and festive session for the year.
STEAMhouse is BCU’s new outward looking centre for innovation and creation. Uniting talented people from different sectors in the science, technology, engineering, arts and maths –STEAM– to bring amazing new ideas to life. Bringing inventors, entrepreneurs, researchers, businesses and craftspeople together to develop exciting new ideas and products.
The course offers an introduction to new ways of collaborating, innovating and tackling complex ‘wicked’ problems. You will meet and collaborate with people of different skills and approaches.
STEAMhouse study room uses STEAM pedagogy, design thinking, open innovation and cross disciplinary collaboration to equip you to progress professionally and academically. The more experienced you become with the methodology the more your problem solving, team working, collaboration, innovation and resilience competences will strengthen. In this lab our objective is to introduce you to the methodology and techniques of STEAM Education and guide you through a rewarding learning experience.
The challenge we will tackle in the lab is mental health: Let’s work together to find ways to support people around us affected by mental health challenges in the post pandemic living and studying and working environment
