STEAM-tastic: Shrinky Dink Charms (Ages 14 to adult)

Honey, I shrunk the art!! Join in for a teen focused, family friendly hands on Shrinky Dinks Charms workshop. Participants will create designs on shrinkable polystyrene, heat them until they shrink to about a third of their original size, and then glaze them with a UV resin. These can then be made into backpack charms, keyrings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and more! Small works bring big fun!

Participants will create miniature works of art using shrinkable polystyrene and use jewelry findings and small hand tools to craft small personal art objects. All supplies and tools are provided.

The discount ticket price per child is made possible with support from the City of Alexandria through the FY2026 Annual Arts Program Grant.

Refund Policy

• If a workshop does not reach the minimum number of students within 3 days of the workshop, it may be cancelled at the instructor’s discretion. If you are already registered (and have paid) for a workshop that is cancelled, your whole registration amount will be refunded.
• If you request to withdraw from a workshop 72 hours or more before the day of the workshop, Del Ray Artisans will refund the Workshop Fee and any Supply Fee minus a 15% processing fee.
• No refunds will be provided for cancellations less than 72 hours before the day of the workshop.
