Our team at the Balloon Museum invites curious minds of all ages to explore the rich intersection of science, technology, engineering, art, and math at STEAM Night: Route 66. Enjoy an evening of roaring fun for all ages as we travel down memory lane and celebrate 100 years of Route 66 through stories of innovation, cultural history, and art inspired by America’s most iconic highway.
This event will include:
- hands-on Route 66 activities provided by R4 Creating;
- a talk by special guest and New Mexico State Historian, Rob Martinez;
- a close up view of the larger-than-life mural “Balloons Over Route 66,” created by local artist Jessey Sandoval and 43 youth artists;
- the iconic Zozobra hot air balloon (weather permitting);
- music by DJ Chamar Valdez;
- and delicious treats from the Munchie Food Truck.
