About this Event
Manchester schools are entitled to one free place every 2 years. You are able to book additional places, if available.
Please be aware that you may need to wait to be allocated additional places and you will be invoiced (£50.00 per place).
All delegates should be practising DSLs and must have completed Introduction to Safeguarding training. The aims are to support understanding of the role of the DSL and the key areas of responsibility, to promote awareness of key legislation and statutory guidance, especially the updated KCSIE, to apply local Child Protection policies and procedures when concerns about a child are raised, to understand what partnership working means in Manchester, in particular Early Help and Signs of Safety, to be aware of the latest strategies from MSP, GM and the LA and to reflect on learning from both local and national Serious Case Reviews and Learning Reviews.
For 2022/23, the training will be delivered by the SIE Team over 2 morning sessions, rather than over one full day. It is essential to attend both sessions.
Please note both events start at 09:00 and finish at 13:00.
