About this Event
State Organs: Unmasking Transplant Abuse in China: A powerful and thought-provoking documentary exposing the hidden truth of forced organ harvesting in China, directed by Chinese-Canadian filmmaker Raymond Zhang. It has entered the list of official contenders for the 97th Academy Awards in the category of Best Documentary Feature.
Jan Jekielek: The author of the newly released book Killed To Order:China's Organ Harvesting Industry and the True Nature of America's Biggest Adversary. Jan is a Canadian journalist, New York Times bestselling author, and award-winning filmmaker who currently works in the United States while maintaining strong Canadian roots. In 2026, he was named “Best Author of the Year” by French Quarter Magazine. He is the host of American Thought Leaders. We are honored to have Jan Jekielek join us for the evening, where he will also launch his new book Killed To Order.
Based on true events, State Organs follows the deeply personal journeys of two families who have spent decades searching for loved ones who disappeared while in police custody. What they uncover is unimaginable: a state-run organ harvesting operation that still exists today. Their story is one of heartbreak, courage, and the unwavering pursuit of truth.
In 2025, China's Xi Jinping and Russia's Vladimir Putin were caught on a hot mic discussing increasing longevity and even achieving immortality through repeated organ transplants. In this context, the screening of State Organs is both timely and necessary, offering critical insight into the broader implications of these developments.
State Organs is a meaningful documentary with global impact, bringing attention to what is happening in China today—examining allegations of a state-sanctioned, billion-dollar transplant industry involving forced organ harvesting and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners —individuals who uphold the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance—and more recently extending to other vulnerable groups. The documentary reveals the machinery of state control, propaganda, and dehumanization that has enabled these atrocities to continue for decades.
This systematic forced organ harvesting constitutes a grave crime against humanity and a form of institutional state terrorism directed by the state apparatus against its own citizens. This atrocity poses an affront to human ethics, the rule of law, and the universal values that underpin free societies.
The screening is followed by a panel discussion with Jan Jekielek and a book launch for Killed to Order. It’s a great opportunity to engage with thought-provoking content and connect with fellow advocates and the creators.
