State of Black-Owned Businesses in Urban Cities – "What's Working and What's Not!"
Join us for a virtual event where we'll dive into the current landscape of Black-owned businesses in urban cities. Our panel of experts will discuss what's working well for these businesses and what's not quite hitting the mark. Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights and strategies to support and grow Black entrepreneurship in our communities.

Since 1983, every U.S. President has issued a Presidential Proclamation designation a National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week to recognize the contributions of the minority business community to the U.S. economy. For 39 years, the City of Philadelphia has led the MED WEEK program to convene minority business leaders, government officials, corporate executives, and thought leaders in honoring outstanding MBEs, advocates, and champions. In addition to promoting business opportunities and discuss industry trends.
The annual celebration of minority business is co-chaired by the Philadelphia Department of Commerce, the African American Chamber of Commerce of PA, NJ & DE, the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Independence Business Alliance. Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week highlights minority businesses, corporations and financial institutions that support minority business development.
