Workshop Description
Yarn is the ultimate sustainable resource!
Learn to combine scrap yarns into sweet stripes, flawless fades, and groovy gradients! In this unique workshop we’ll choose yarns by weight, texture, and color, and make a rad scrappy scrunchie, or swatch for your next stash-busting project.
The techniques we cover will work with knitting, crochet, weaving, and basically has endless fiber art possibilities.
Have a bunch of scrap bits from your holiday crafting? Bring them in! Or use what we have aat SCRAP.
This is not a beginner class! Participants must have basic knitting or crochet knowledge (know how to cast, knit stitch, single crochet, etc)
Please note we have a sliding scale for tickets for this event! The break down is as follows:
General Admission #1: Covers the cost of workshop and materials
General Admission #2: Covers cost of workshop, materials, and supports the instructor
General Admission #3: Covers cost of workshop, materials, supports the instructor, and helps keep our workshops more accessible
About Becca Schillinger
Becca Schillinger holds a BFA in Painting and Drawing from CCAC, and turns to fiber art to relax, by hand-knitting clothes. Trained as a makeup artist in NYC prior to shifting to Fine Art, Becca has been working as an arts and crafts instructor for the last 9 years at WorkshopSF.
