He holds a Bachelor and a Master in Mechanical Engineering (energy specialisation) from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, a Bachelor of Law, a Master in Economics, a Research Master in Economics from the Universite Catholique de Louvain, and an MBA from INSEAD.
