About this Event

Did you know that hiking can increase your balance, strengthen your core, and improve your mental health? Hiking is a great habit for the new year, so join us on the trail for a roughly 3-mile hike around our property. We'll enjoy the outdoors while also learning about what the Farm has to offer and the nature surrounding us. As we restore ourselves in this new year, we'll also discover how the Farm is completing restoration projects along the trail!

Mileage: Approximately 3 miles

Pace: Beginner-Moderate

No pets allowed.

Please bring water for hydration and wear appropriate footwear for your hike. Hiking/Trekking Poles may be helpful for some.

FAQs

Is there a cost to attend the hike?

The hike itself is free! Non-members will need to pay admission to the Farm for the day: $5 for adults and $3 for children.

How long is the hike?

The hike will be around 3 miles, but we may hike less depending upon the pace of the group and the time it takes to cover topics along the way. The hike does include elevation change and the paths vary from dirt paths in the forest to paved paths through the farmyard.

Are children welcome?

Yes! You may bring children. Please note that this is a longer hike in a colder time of year. If you have concerns about your children being comfortable on the hike or able to walk this length it may not be a good fit for them at this time.

Where should we meet?

We will gather at the Pavilion for a quick meet and greet. We’ll begin the hike on the Jimmy Trail/Nature Trail off the grassy area to the left of the parking lot.

The hike will include a combination of our trails, taking us through the forest, field, and farmyard. We will end back at the pavilion at noon.
