Starting secondary school in 2027 - advice and support for Lewisham parents
About this Event
Advice and support for Lewisham parents will take place on 14th September 2026 in the Civic Suite.
Parents can book a place at one of the school talks, to understand the application process, be aware of the timetable and closing date for submitting their application.
The school talks will be at:
1) 4:45 – 5:45 pm
2) 5:45 – 6:45 pm
3) 6:45 - 7.45 pm
Before each school talk, parents will have the opportunity to meet a representative from each Lewisham secondary school and also members of the SEN and Free School Meals Teams along with a represenative from Transport for London.

**PLEASE NOTE ALL THREE SESSIONS ARE THE SAME SO YOU ONLY NEED TO BOOK ONTO ONE TIME SLOT**
This is an informal event for parents who are just about to start the application process for their Year 6 child to start secondary school.
Please leave your children at home for this event if you are able to do so, as spaces are limited and we want to let as many parents as possible have the opportunity to attend.
Each session will start with parents given the opportunity to meet representatives from all mainstream secondary schools in Lewisham and find out more about them before the open days start. They will meet staff, and students from all the schools and are able to ask them questions. After meeting the schools there will be a short presentation about the process, and a questions and answer session with our Admissions Team.

Please note there is no onsite parking.
The Secondary School Admissions Manager will give a talk on the process of applying for secondary school at the following times:
4) 4:45 – 5:45 pm
5) 5:45 – 6:45 pm
6) 6:45 - 7.45 pm
Please book which talk you want to attend. You only need to attend one talk as they are all the same.
No schools will be avalible after 7pm.
