There are things you can grow toward the end of winter and close to the last frost date that can handle a light freeze. There are also ways to protect them from a hard freeze in February. Come and learn about how to prepare the soil. What seeds to plant and how to plant them. Root vegetables like carrots, beets and radishes are fabulous to grow in the right soil. Leafy greens such as different lettuce varieties and spinach along with Swiss Chard, which, if protected will grow year round.
Also a few tomato varieties that grow in cooler weather. I have had luck with them before so am hoping I will again.
We will be getting our hands dirty so bring gloves, a chair and something to take notes with.
Weather permitting, over 40 degrees and no precipitation. If you have questions please post them in the comments.
