Choreographed Ballroom is putting names to the steps in ballroom rhythm patterns. It is a ballroom dance where a “Cuer” announces what figures/steps are coming next just before the figures/steps are to be executed; and dancers then execute those figures in unison. It’s an excellent way to learn basic steps in several Ballroom rhythms which can later be used on the social dance floor! It is a way leaders learn to lead with confidence and the follower learns feet placement to follow more easily. We dance in the same circular pattern as on the social dance floor. It has a relaxed, fun and playful atmosphere. Dress is casual – no fancy clothing or costumes. Plus it has many health benefits too, like the ease of body movement, memory recall, and exercise; but most of all, choreographed ballroom dancing is all about making new friends.Info: Randy Pratt (Desert Dancers) 505 415-1124.
