Spend the morning with one of the region’s top cut flower growers, Michelle Shackelford of Leelanau Specialty Cut Flowers. Start your very own cut flower garden with expert advice and all the supplies needed including premium selections of seeds, cuttings, bulbs, and corms. With specialized techniques and tips for success including how to turn a windowsill at your home into your very own greenhouse!
This course includes all the supplies needed for you to have your very own cutting garden starter pack curated by Michelle.

About our Instructor
Michelle Shackelford owns Leelanau Specialty Cut Flowers located in Cedar, MI. Currently in her 13th year of farming flowers, Michelle has had a lifelong passion for growing plants of all kinds. A collector at heart, she grows hundreds of different varieties, with a specialty in growing tulips from January through May. Michelle offers on-farm classes, workshops, private you-pick events, tours, a la carte and DIY event florals, bouquet subscriptions, holiday wreaths, and dried florals. Many of her offerings can be found on the farm, in the beautiful self-serve flower shed.
