Free Developmental Screening for Children Ages 0–5
Families in Huerfano and Las Animas Counties are invited to attend a free 30–40 minute developmental screening for children ages 0–5. Screenings include vision, hearing, developmental, social-emotional, dental, and lead checks to help parents better understand how their child is growing, learning, and playing.
Screening Dates & Locations:
September 10 | 1:00–4:00 PM – Peakview Preschool, 375 W. Pine St., Walsenburg
September 11 | 1:00–4:00 PM – SCCOG Early Learning Center, 1225 Rosita Ave., Trinidad
The FREE screenings are available to all children ages 0–5, do not replace a well-child exam, and a parent or guardian must be present during the screening. The event is hosted through a partnership between SCCOG Early Learning Center, Peakview Preschool, H.U.L.A. Early Childhood Council, and the Las Animas-Huerfano Counties District Health Department.
