Start-Up Leeds: Creating social media graphics on Canva

Launched in 2012, most businesses are now aware of the design tool, Canva. Canva can help individuals and businesses create social media graphics, blog post headers, postcards, presentations, logos, infographics and more, designing for both digital and printed media.

With so many areas to explore, Canva can be a bit daunting. There are many options, templates, and techniques to learn, it’s hard to know where to start. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced designer, we can help you to harness the power of Canva!

Within this workshop, we will share the benefits of creating a consistent brand toolkit for your business, plus ways to save time when creating your graphics for social media. From keyboard shortcuts to Quick Create – we’ll help you create aesthetically pleasing designs for your business, across all social media channels.

About Rebecca:

Rebecca Hopwood is an experienced marketer with 15 years in business. As a Media & Marketing graduate from Leeds, Rebecca has spent over a decade working within small businesses to understand their sales, marketing, and business development functions.

In 2020, Rebecca founded Youbee Media, a marketing solutions agency during the pandemic. Rebecca saw an opportunity to draw on her experience in business to provide a holistic and agile service to businesses that would help them survive beyond lockdown and uncertain times.
