Join this workshop to get the skills you'll need to take your craft business to the next step.
In this two-day workshop we'll be joined by expert speakers who'll be going through some of the 'need to knows' as a maker, creator or crafter. From pricing your products to taking photographs and boosting your digital presence.
Over the two-days we'll have core talks and breakout rooms covering:
Day one – Friday 27th September
-Inspiring entrepreneur story from a local business
-Pricing your work: how to price your makes in a competitive market
-Creating a digital presence: content marketing and creating your SEO strategy
-Choosing the right platform for selling your makes (there's more than just Etsy!)
-Identifying your brand values: how to build a well crafted brand as you transition from hobbyist to creativepreneur
Day two - Saturday 28th September
-Using Instagram: get to grips with Instagram and other visual social media platforms to connect and engage your audience
-Protecting your Intellectual Property
-Photographing your products for maximum impact: elevate your product photography using the equipment you already have
-Diversifying your income
Light lunch provided on both days
About the speakers:
We'll be joined by a host of expert speakers who'll be on hand to guide you through the right steps for your creative business.
Speakers include Steph Cronin-Milne (ReVamp Marketing), Jo Tomlinson (Business Works UK), Tim Simpson (Tim Simpson Photography), Abigail and Chloe Baldwin(Buttercrumble), Rebecca Hopwood (YouBee Media), Dawn Wood (Fabrication)

This workshop is part of a programme of support. You will be required to register onto the free Start-Up and Grow programme in order to access the support that is available.
