Start-up and Grow: Two day Creatives Workshop

Important Eligibility Notice – Please Read Before Booking

This workshop is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in partnership with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. As such, strict eligibility criteria apply:

· You must be a resident of Leeds Local Authority to attend this workshop.

· This opportunity is only open to individuals who have not previously attended the two-day crafters event.

· Attendees must either be considering starting a craft/creative business or already running an early-stage business.

We kindly ask that you do not book if you do not meet these criteria, as places are limited and reserved for eligible participants only. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Creatives workshop outline

In this two-day workshop we'll be joined by expert speakers who'll be going through some of the 'need to knows' as a maker, creator or crafter.

Day one – Friday 30th January

• Introductions and outline of the Business & IP support
• Inspiring entrepreneur story from a local business
• Choosing the right platform for selling your makes
• Identifying your brand values: how to build a well-crafted brand
• “Ow Much?” Pricing your Creative Work

Day two - Saturday 31st January

• Creating and building a digital presence
• Diversifying your income
• Networking

About the speakers:

We'll be joined by a host of expert speakers who'll be on hand to guide you through the right steps for your creative business.

Speakers include Nicola Rawnsley (local creator), Steph Cronin-Milne (ReVamp Marketing), Gareth Allen (Gap Coaching), Abigail and Chloe Baldwin (Buttercrumble), Rebecca Hopwood (YouBee Media), Boris Cruse (artist)
