In Start a Creative Business we will cover:

Idea to Blueprint

The Team will guide you through an interactive introduction to the how-to of launching your venture. We will talk you through the business model canvas, a tool designed to help you understand each aspect of your business idea and how to define your goals and objectives for your new creative enterprise.

The Creative Marketing Toolkit

Let's get marketing! "The Creative's Marketing Toolkit" is designed to help you understand world of marketing, offering a clear, step-by-step guide on how to to confidently introduce your art, craft, or service to the world through content, advertising and social media!

Engaging With Your Customers

Great creative work is only half the battle—the other half is building relationships that keep clients coming back. This section is your friendly introduction to building relationships and connections with customers, suppliers and funders, to help you create a business that they love working with, from your very first project to your hundredth.

Let's Talk Finance!

We know that talking about money can feel overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be! We'll dive into the specific money challenges that creative businesses face, from valuing your time to setting prices that reflect your work to the basics of managing your cashflow and bookkeeping.

Your Next Steps

In our final section we will talk you through the process of registering your creative business and what further support is available. The team will also be on-hand to answer any questions you may have!

Who is this workshop for?

This bootcamp is open to all residents of Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside who want to turn their passion for creativity into an exciting new business.

The Sustainable Creative

This workshop is made possible by the Sustainable Creative's programme, which is supported by Creative Central NCL, funded by the North East Combined Authority and Newcastle City Council.

The programme provides a comprehensive package of support including access to creative themed workshops, networking events and 1-to-1 support from our team of dedicated business advisors, to help creatives set-up exciting and sustainable creative businesses.

The Sustainable Creative is open to residents of Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland who are aged 18-24 or those of all ages who are new to a creative industry.
