When interviewed about the inspiration for “StarSweeper”, Mikaela Duffy shared:
"This show is dedicated to a specific ideal: that no matter what we run into, no matter how hard the path we tread, the love we have for our fellow man will succeed over all else. Riley's journey in this story is not just the adventure of one space explorer on a rescue mission like no other, but also the journey we all undertake experiencing life in an isolating society which often forgets that its greatest strength is its community."
