Join Houston Brass Quintet for a dynamic musical journey celebrating the spirit of Texas and the American sound. From the iconic pride of Deep in the Heart of Texas to the patriotic brilliance of Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever, this performance showcases the diverse musical traditions that shape our nation.
Audiences will travel through the sweeping sounds of the American West in Moment for Morricone, the rich jazz stylings of Concerto for Cootie, and the soulful beauty of Amazing Grace. Blending patriotism, jazz, western flair, and spiritual tradition, this engaging program highlights the power and versatility of brass music while celebrating Texas’ place in America’s cultural story.
Young Audiences Passport!
Join Young Audiences for a trip around the world with live artists and performances! Children receive a “passport” at each show, and those who collect stamps from all four performances will receive a special goodie bag at the final performance. Each show is hosted by YAH “travel hosts,” welcoming students and families as they explore a new country, with special giveaways for the first 200 attendees.
Designed for PK-12 audiences, these performances combine educational content with vibrant visual and auditory experiences, inspiring curiosity, cultural appreciation, and respect for global traditions, people, and arts. Interactive elements may include audience participation, language demonstrations, and Q&A sessions to deepen engagement and learning.
Young Audiences of Houston sparks imagination through vibrant arts experiences for children and families. We champion Access so every child can participate, Education that fuels creativity and curiosity, and Community that celebrates diverse cultures – expanding equitable opportunities to learn, create, and connect through the arts.
This is a non-ticketed performance – no tickets are necessary, no reservations can be made. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, or at manager’s discretion.
