The Lovin’ Spoonful’s first single, “Do You Believe in Magic,” exploded onto the charts and was followed by an unprecedented string of hits including: “Daydream,” “Summer in the City,” “You Didn’t Have to Be So Nice,” “Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind,” “Didn’t Want to Have to Do it,” “Younger Girl,” “Darling Be Home Soon,” “Jug Band Music,” “Rain on the Roof,” “Six o’Clock,” “Nashville Cats,” and “She’s Still a Mystery (to Me).” The band was so influential that luminaries such as John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson cited them as forces of inspiration. The Lovin’ Spoonful was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. Today the Lovin’ Spoonful tours with founding member Steve Boone alongside Jeff Alan Ross, Bill Cinque, Rob Bonfiglio and Mike Arturi. Together, they faithfully celebrate the rich, good-time catalog of hits that made them one of the world’s most beloved groups of the ‘60s.
Gary Lewis and The Playboys return! The comedy antics of his father, Jerry Lewis, skyrocketed him to fame when he was just barely out of his teens, but in 1965 Gary Lewis & the Playboys released their first single, “This Diamond Ring” and it went straight to number one. That same year, Gary was Cash Box magazine’s “Male Vocalist of the Year”, winning the honor over other nominees including Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. An enviable string of hits followed - “Count Me In”, “Save Your Heart For Me”, “Everybody Loves A Clown”, “She’s Just My Style”, “Sure Gonna Miss Her”, and many more. He was the only artist during the 60s to have his first 7 releases reach Billboard’s Top 10. Gary still sounds just like his records and tells the stories only he can tell - growing up in Hollywood, becoming one of the biggest rock stars of the sixties and touring the world with hits everyone knows and loves.
The Classics IV, will return for their first area appearance in quite some time following night after night of standing ovations on their nationwide tour singing “Traces,” “Spooky,” “Stormy,” “Every Day with You Girl” and more!
