Come down to the Fredericksburg SPCA on Friday, June 27, from 12-6pm for Stars and Barks, an educational community event focused on keeping pets safe during the holiday. Come pet our cats, meet our pups, and learn all about firework safety as celebrations approach. We will be sharing im-paw-tant information on fireworks and holiday safety, helping pet owners prepare for the stress and risks that loud noises can create for animals. Attendees will also learn about pet reunification strategies, including how to increase the chances of being reunited with a lost pet.
As part of the event, our clinic will host a Pop-Up Microchip Clinic from 12-2 pm. Microchipping is one of the most effective ways to help lost pets find their way home. Community members interested in having their pet microchipped for $25 must bring proof of a current rabies vaccination.
